Faux Parmesan



I know what you're thinking! 'THAT ISN'T CHEESE, AND I LOVE CHEESE!" Well, I did too, but let's try to keep an open mind here for a minute ;) This stuff is super cheap and easy to make, and is a GREAT alternative to parmesan cheese for those of you who don't want to eat diary or can't eat it. Sprinkle some of this on top of a soup, pasta dish, or the caesar salad dressing I posted earlier, and you're good to go!

What you need
1/4 cup nutritional yeast (found in baking aisle, this is what gives it the cheesy flavor)
1/2 cashews (can also use slivered almonds without skins if you like)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt to taste

What you need to do
Place all ingredients in a food processor and mix until grainy! Store the leftovers in the fridge for later :)
